Hi, Hallo, Hola, Ciao, Bonjour, Ahoj, zdravo, สวัสดี !!
My name is Francesca Tocco and I’m the sole brains behind this operation!
However, if you really want to know the specifics I’ll tell you. I’m a 23 year old female, born and raised in Canada with some roots in Italy. Growing up with an Italian influence initially spiked my interest in what the world had to offer. My first trip outside of Canada was to Rome when I was 12 years old. I fell in love with everything, the whole experience (mostly the spaghetti carbonara). My second trip out of Canada was when I was 15 years old. I left solo on a French exchange program that lasted 3 months. It wasn’t an easy dream to make come true, but I learned a valuable travelling lesson: if there’s a will there’s a way! So I was 14 years old when I got my first job. Why did I get it? I’m a very stubborn person and I was going to France one way or another! I saved up every last penny the exchange cost, made a lot of sacrifices along the way (what I thought were sacrifices at 14) and never looked back. Was it worth it? Every last second of it was!
To date, I’ve been to 27 countries. I’ ve seen 16 countries in Europe, 5 countries in Asia and 6 countries in North America. I should mention that I’m currently a 4th year university student…on my second exchange! That’s right, I’m studying in Ljubljana, Slovenia at the moment. In my opinion, and all of my exchange friend’s opinions, Ljubljana is one of the most underrated cities in Europe. But don’t worry, you’ll hear ALL about it soon enough!
Since being abroad in Slovenia I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time. This rediscovered infatuation with travelling is what gave me the final push me to share my experiences with you all. I really love travelling and I can’t wait to share my many amazing, interesting, scary and troublesome travel adventures with you all. I hope you find joy and inspiration in this blog!
